The 2nd International „FINE!Dust-Free“ Congress

Klagenfurt on Lake Wörthersee – October 1st – 2nd, 2009

NATRIX coorganized as a member of ”KommTeam” – a project-specific network of 3 entrepreneurs: Gabriele Meßner-Mitteregger (wort und bild), Sigrid Bostjancic (bos.s grafik) and natrix – the 2nd International Fine!Dust-Free Congress 2009 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria.

More than 300 experts in the fields of environment, traffic and transport and representatives from administration, politics, science and economy from 15 countries including one of the most renowned fine-dust experts and author of many publications in the USA – Mr. Douglas Dockery from Harvard School of Pulbic Health in Boston – discussed the latest studies on the health effects and the costs and causes of fine-dust pollution.

More than 20 speakers´ presentations included also information of the results of the „SPAS“ project. The Sound and Particle Absorbing System (noise-protection wall combined with a fine-dust filter) should clearly reduce ambient pollution resulting from fine dust and noise. A field trip to Europe´s first noise-protection wall equipped with fine-dust filters in Klagenfurt was also a part of the programme.

E-bikes rental for the congress participants, special price for participants, who arrived by train, unique congress bags made of old advertising tilts and seat belts are only few examples of an ecologicaly responsible attitude to the congress organisation.
